Method 1: Change the Background Color of the Canvas
Step 1: Select the Background
- Click anywhere on the canvas outside your elements.
Step 2: Open the Color Picker
- Click the color tile in the top-left menu.
- Select a solid color, a gradient, or a shade from your Brand Kit.
Step 3: Customize Gradients (Optional)
- Click on a gradient background.
- Adjust both colors and angle to suit your design. You can even fade an image in Canva for a subtler background effect.
Method 2: Change the Background Color of an Image
Step 1: Select the Image
- Click on the image with the background you want to adjust.
Step 2: Open the Edit Panel
- Click Edit, then choose Background.
Step 3: Use Adjust Settings
- Change the temperature, tint, brightness, and contrast to shift the background color.
